This Privacy Policy explains how Aymane Chafik ("we", "us") collects, uses, and protects your information when you use the MyWorkSync mobile application (the "App"). By using the App you agree to this policy.
1. Information we collect
Account information
- Email address and name — to create and secure your account.
- Company name, and optionally your job title and phone number — shown in your profile.
- Profile photo — if you choose to upload one.
Content you create
Information you enter into the App is stored in our cloud backend so it can sync across your devices and with people you collaborate with. This includes appointments, customers, work groups, group chat messages, tasks, and timesheet entries.
Documents and scanning
When you scan a document or open a PDF, the images and files are processed and stored locally on your device. We do not upload your scanned documents or opened PDFs to our servers.
Purchases
If you buy the one-time "Remove Ads" upgrade, the purchase is processed by Google Play Billing. We do not receive or store your payment-card details; we only record whether the upgrade is active on your account.
Advertising (free users)
The App may display ads through Google AdMob to users who have not purchased the ad-free upgrade. AdMob may collect a device advertising identifier and similar data as described in Google's advertising policies. If ads are not enabled in the App, no advertising data is collected.
2. Device permissions
- Camera — used only to scan documents. Captured images are converted to a PDF on your device.
- Notifications — used to send appointment reminders you schedule.
- Files / photos — accessed only through your device's system picker when you choose a PDF or a profile photo. We do not scan or read your media library.
3. How we use your information
- To provide and operate the App's features.
- To sync your data across your devices and with your team.
- To send appointment reminders and account-related messages.
- To process the optional ad-free purchase.
- To maintain security and prevent abuse.
4. Service providers
We use Google Firebase (Authentication, Cloud Firestore, and Cloud Storage) to host accounts and app data, Google Play Billing for purchases, and optionally Google AdMob for ads. Your data is stored on Google Cloud infrastructure and handled under Google's terms. We do not sell your personal information.
5. Data retention and deletion
We keep your information for as long as your account exists. You can delete your account at any time from Settings → Account → Delete Account, which permanently removes your account data. You may also email us to request deletion.
6. Security
Data in transit is encrypted (HTTPS/TLS), and access to your cloud data is restricted by authentication and security rules. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, but we take reasonable measures to protect your information.
7. Children
MyWorkSync is not directed to children under 13 (or the minimum age in your jurisdiction), and we do not knowingly collect their data.
8. Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, export, or delete your personal data. To exercise these rights, contact us at the address below.
9. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by the "Last updated" date above.
